Our Story

Craftsmanship: One Garment. One Maker

On most garment factory floors, workers will generally participate in a production line, with each person specialising in one part of the process. When Aravore was founded, it was with the belief that every maker should be given the tools and knowledge to create a whole item from start to finish - thus creating a direct connection with the families who show appreciation for artisanal skills when they purchase Aravore clothes.

More than a decade later the swing tag on every Aravore Signature piece carries the name of the seamstress who made it.

We use the softest natural yarns and fabrics throughout our collection.

You'll find the Aravore logo on the inside of our clothes, out of sight. Instead craftsmanship and quality of materials are given centre stage - organic cotton, organic Merino Wool, or a combination of the two.

Read about Our Materials

We believe the price you pay for a product should be based upon its quality of design, craftsmanship and materials, as well as the promise of a socially and environmentally friendly supply chain.

Where it is common for traditional retailers to markup 5x or more from the cost of producing and importing clothes from a factory or workshop, we are able to stay between 2x and 3.8x.This is achieved by having a small team, by not over-producing clothes which creates waste, and by selling online through recommendation, reputation and repeat purchase.
